barlface Sapientia Diaboli adheres to the rule of black metal where everything they make should be absolutely damn terrifying. Not every black metal act follows this rule, but amateur types sometimes forget how to utilize subtler melodies and intelligent rhythm to effectively draw in the listener. Here though, more depth in the music is applied than just blasting the audience with noise. No, this is artfully done, bringing in some of my favorite vocal work in black metal. This is good. Very good. Favorite track: Cursed with Blackening Sickness.
